SUSTAINABILITY CHARTER

Introduction

Acting with Integrity is one of our Core Values, and we must never compromise it. Our aspiration is to be recognised by our stakeholders as an organisation which is a responsible corporate citizen in all our relationships.
We want to be the best in our industry, but not at any price. We are committed to being a responsible business, running that business in a manner that both employees and suppliers can be proud of, acting with transparency to its clients and suppliers and delivering delightful customer service on all occasions.
Our reputation, which is based on providing the best service to our clients and customers possible, always doing the right thing and acting within the law, is one of our greatest assets. We expect our suppliers to sign up to working in the ways described below to help maintain that reputation and to confirm in signing up to this code that they expect these requirements also of their supply chain, including sub-contractors.

Scope

Our Sustainability Charter applies to you if you carry out work on behalf of Rapid Relocate Ltd and extends to any contractors or suppliers. We very much hope you can confirm that you comply with the obligations set out herein. 

Supplier Code of Contact

1. Protecting the environment
We are a services based company and are acutely aware of how our action impacts the climate. 
Suppliers must have clear procedures in place to ensure direct and indirect environmental impacts associated with the goods and services are understood, measured, managed and mitigated where possible. All applicable environmental regulatory requirements must be complied with.

2. Protecting the employee
We support the protection of human rights through our supply chain by encouraging behaviours and actions that are consistent with the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Core Conventions and by using suppliers whose values are consistent with ours. We also comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and require our suppliers to do the same.


We require all suppliers to uphold minimum commitments as follows:

  • Employment is freely chosen. There is no forced or compulsory labour in any form, including bonded, trafficked, or prison labour. 

  • Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining are respected. Workers, without distinction, have the right to join or form trade unions of their own choosing and to bargain collectively. 

  • Child labour shall not be used There shall be no recruitment of child labour. 

  • Living wages are paid. Wages and benefits paid for a standard working week meet, at a minimum, national legal standards or industry benchmark standards, whichever is higher. 

  • Working hours are not excessive. Working hours comply with national laws and benchmark industry standards, whichever affords greater protection. 

  • Regular employment is provided. To every extent possible work performed must be on the basis of a recognised employment relationship established through national law and practice. 

  • No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed. Physical abuse or discipline, the threat of physical abuse, sexual or other harassment and verbal abuse or other forms of intimidation shall be prohibited.

3. Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
We commit to promoting a culture of enabling a supply chain that includes equality, diversity, inclusion where no discrimination is practised.
There is no discrimination in hiring, compensation, access to training, promotion, termination or retirement based on race, caste, national origin, religion, age, disability, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, union membership or political affiliation. 

4. A safe and healthy workplace 
Our suppliers must comply with all relevant health and safety laws, both in letter and spirit.
A safe and hygienic working environment shall be provided.

5. Ethics
We aim to establish a mutually beneficial relationship with suppliers, based on the same high ethical standards or openness, professionalism and honesty that we apply to all our dealings.
We expect suppliers to compete on the same basis with regard to the price and quality of their products and services and not engage in any form of bribery or corruption.

6. Compliance
Our suppliers must comply with all applicable UK laws and regulations, both in letter and spirit.

7. Training and Implementation 
Our Supplier Code of Conduct will be incorporated in to the induction, job descriptions, objectives and recruitment criteria for all relevant staff.

8. Continual Improvement
Rapid Relocate Ltd endeavours to continually improve its sustainability performance such that all relevant policies, guidance and training are continually reviewed and updated. The effectiveness of this approach will be measured and reported upon annually.
